Education is a life-long process. With this in mind, the EMSB offers a full range of academic programs for students looking to learn English or French, complete their secondary school or pre-requisites for CEGEP. Our adult education centres are conveniently located across the city.
We are centrally located in downtown Montreal close to Sherbrooke Metro.
Our Centre offers a complete range of traditionally taught academic courses leading to a Quebec High School Leaving Certificate. We also offer all pre-requisite courses that students need in order to enrol in Vocational Training programs or CEGEP.
Students who have studied in Quebec will have their transcripts evaluated by our Academic Advisor. Once the assessment is complete the student will know exactly what they require in order to graduate or to enrol in a Vocational Centre.Students who have not previously studied in Quebec are given placement tests and are interviewed in order to properly assess which programme and which level within the programme bests meets their needs.
All students must be legal residents of the Province of Quebec in order to attend.
Please be advised that there will be a curriculum change as of July 1, 2019. Therefore it is the students’ responsibility to finish all modules before the deadline. All unfinished modules are not transferable to the new curriculum. This applies to the following courses: MATH (SEC.5) Regular, Advanced and 536; and PHYSICAL SCIENCE 4010-2, 4011-2, 4012-2.
